You can make quite a bit of money by writing eBooks and selling them online. In fact, some people are able to sell quite brief eBooks that contain only a few pages. It's not quantity, but quality: you have to write a good eBook. But how can you create an eBook that will attract the readership you seek? Read on for four approaches that can improve the popularity of your eBook and set you on the road to success.

Think of a good and catchy title. Titles that are not appealing do not usually get much attention. Thus, invest some time and effort in coming up with a title that merits a second-glance. Your title should contain appropriate keywords that are relevant to the niche in order for it to rank high in search engines. It would also help if you denote action or procedures which readers would instantly want to know about.

Your eBook should be entertaining, incorporating worthwhile content, and be interesting to read in order to reach your niche audience. Use pictures, graphics, articles, how-to tips on everyday items, quotes from persons, and contain realistic information to hold their interest. Sidebars can be used for quick links to access information, and to make the page lighter in content.

When you are writing an eBook remember to write in a casual tone. An eBook is not a science or text book and readers are more interested and respond better in writings that talk directly to them. Being conversational and minimizing complex paragraphs and writing more simply and directly is the best approach.

PC or PDAs will probably used to read the eBook you have produced, so your audience will quite possible need some break time to prevent eyestrain. It usually is very hard to use these machines to read with so you must consider your reader. Use white spaces to break up your text. Don't use all plain text and words and don't fill your pages up with these items.
