The two basic meta tags are not as crucial as they once were, but the description tag is still used by a few search engines to show information about your web page to users and assist them to choose whether they have discovered what it is they need or anticipating. Many search engines judge web page importance on the number and quality of incoming links from other sites. You should link to some related sites, but not too many. Don’t overdo incoming links either, and keep them related to your site’s subject matter. It is also beneficial to get sites to use your keywords as the text of these links.
